Recipes?

The above pictures have nothing to do with my post as usual but I thought I would share them just the same. And yes that is a picture of my son dancing in a dress with K's satin P.J. pants on his head. I will be sure to save this for his graduation party poster!
You have to scroll down forever to get to my post. Sorry Blogger will not let me move the pic's an inch or pull my post up.
So I was wondering if any of you have any great recipes? I have never cooked more than two nights a week, we always have went out to dinner. Now that Bell is getting bigger and we are having Hudsyn it is getting too hard to go out to eat and expensive. I have about 10 to 15 recipes that I make all the time but I was checking to see if any of you had any tried and true family favorites. We eat pretty much any kind of food but seafood. I would really appreciate any suggestions...Thanks!

Sara...We are so still looking for a babysitter. I am glad they did not walk over today b/c we were a couple of hours away at a grad party for Chad's cousin. But we will be home every evening for the rest of our lives after tonight. Tell them to come over any time!

Margie...We like meat dishes! I also am interested in the desk! I know it took me like five years to respond, but we are definately interested.

Pat...When Margie shares her great recipes with me I will make you one! Then we will both see if I can cook.

I just remembered a recipe that you might like, it's so simple and I've never met a child that didn't like it...here it is:

RICE A RONI MEATBALLS
Ingredients:
1 box beef flavored rice a roni
1 egg
1 lb hamburger
Method
Set aside flavor packet from box to use later, then Mix hamburger and egg with rice from box. Make into meatballs.
Brown meatballs in a little oil in pan - they need not be cooked all the way through.
When browned, mix flavor packet with 2 1/2 cups hot water and pour over meatballs. Simmer (about 15-20 minutes) till rice looks cooked. I usually thicken the gravy with a tsp. of cornstarch in a little cold water and add it to the gravy and cook till it boils, but that's optional.
Serve with any sides you like, but kids usually like it with mashed potatoes and corn.
If you make it, let me know what you think!
By the way - it makes a very large serving - plenty for everyone!

Kelly and Amanda were one of the first little kids to eat my rice a roni meatballs - there were sort of a test team of toddlers. They gave them two rice covered thumbs up!

One time when the kids were in their teens I was running low on stuff to make a meal. So I asked the Lord to show me what I could make with what I had and this is what he gave me. I call it spagoosh.
1 lb of hamburger
a little bit of spagetti and elbow macaroni
1 can of chili beans
1 can of spagetti sauce(or jar)
1/4 cup or so of onions(frozen or fresh)
1/4 cup or so of green peppers(frozen or fresh)

Brown hamburger, drain
cook spagetti and macaroni, drain
heat together chili beans, sauce, peppers and onions.
combine all the ingredients together and you have spagoosh.

Serve with garlic bread or toast and salad if you want.

Still remember the kids asking me what it was and that's when the name came.
Love you, Ma

Cora gave me a simple recipe for a snack.
Use flour tortilla shells and cut them in quarters or whatever size you want them to be and brown them in oil using frying pan. Don't need a lot of oil. A good snack chip to eat by themselves or use a dip or salsa.
